Engels-Töne

by Carl Streckfuß (1778–1844) · 1834 German

„Regen nicht tönend hell
Englein die Flügel?“
’S ist nur der muntre Quell,
Rieselnd von Hügel.

„Horch, doch ein Engel ruft:
Lieb’ und Vertrauen!“
’S ist nur die Maienluft,
Fächelnd die Auen.

„Nein, horch den Engel-Schall:
Sehnsucht und Glaube!“
’S ist nur die Nachtigall,
Singend im Laube.

Nachtigall, Luft und Quell
Beim süßen Schalle
Fühl’ ich im Herzen hell:
Englein ihr Alle!
