Hör’ ich das Liedchen klingen

     Hör’ ich das Liedchen klingen,
Das einst die Liebste sang,
So will mir die Brust zerspringen,
Vor wildem Schmerzendrang.

Es treibt mich ein dunkles Sehnen
Hinauf zur Waldeshöh’,
Dort lös’t sich auf in Thränen
Mein übergroßes Weh’.
